Art at Okstad School
'den som leter finner'. Artist: Silje Sagfjæra 2008. Art consultant: Jostein Kirkerud.
Silje Sagfjæra is known for her graphic design and her division of picture surfaces into pure colour surfaces and sharp contrasts. These are characteristic traits which the artist used when decorating Okstad School, although the materials and techniques may differ from previous works. Above the glass doors of the main entrance she has filled a five-part window surface with a broad glass picture. The colour surfaces have straight lines and create fresh collisions between blue, yellow and turquoise shapes. A few surfaces of clear window glass help to create a lively rhythm and movement in the work of art.
