Art in Moholt Churchyard, Memorial
Artist: Lise Stang Lund 2008. Art consultant: Annika Borg.
The memorial at Moholt churchyard consists of three areas with urns. Artist Lise Stang Lund has provided each of these areas with a column. The columns are identical, 190 cm high and consist of two granite boulders with a narrow prism glass area between the boulders. The boulder foundation is inserted in the ground, and works as a frame around each of the areas with urns. The purpose of the glass is to connect the two tall elements of the column, and add immaterial qualities to the monument. The glass creates a narrow mirroring of the changing sky and surroundings. The pure and simple shapes have been chosen as an expression of tranquillity and equilibrium.
