Elster Park

Not a park, but a hillside with various planted trees. Beautifully colored in autumn because of the many larch trees. In between on the forest road, you will find a nice view to the Trondheim harbour and Munkholmen.

The pictures are taken on the forest road called The Beach Front (Strandlinja). This place was once the actual beach (10.000 years ago, at the end of the ice age). Then, today's center of Trondheim was more than 100 meters below sea level. The area is suitable for jogging and cycling.
