Art at Hårstad School
Artist: Yngve Zakarias 2006. Art consultant : Jostein Kirkerud.
Yngve Zakarias has made his mark as a graphic artist, with his direct impressions of nature. First and foremost, it is the nature of the tree, the pattern of the cut and the growth rings which he has transferred onto paper. Thus, with the use of new material and a new context, he has created illusions of landscape, sky and space, length and depth in the surface. This direct approach is also present in his art contribution to Hårstad School. The work shares many similarities with the artist’s graphic pictures, though in a large format where paper has been replaced by an entire outdoor wall.
