Art - The Naval Servicemen’s Monument

Artist: Kristofer Leirdal 1982.

This monumental sculpture group stands on a low stone plinth with two bollards in the open space beside Sjøfartsmuseet (Trondheim Maritime Museum). It was erected on the initiative of Trøndelag krigsseilerforening (Trøndelag Naval Servicemen’s Association) as a memorial to seamen who sailed the waters during the two world wars.
